All who have need are invited to use the Food Bank which is open on the first and third Tuesday of every month from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Registration is required including a declaration of any income. Limitations do apply but the guidelines are very liberal.
Our prayer is that those whose bodies are given sustinance will want sustinence for their soul.
Serving the community since 1982, this ministry is based on the words of Jesus, "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat" in Matthew 25:35.
The Food Bank gives away food to families living in Groveland Township which is inclusive of all of Creve Coeur. It is supported and maintained by the Creve Coeur Christian Church, but is also supported by other churches, school district, scouting and fraternal organizations, civic clubs and the village and township. Our Christmas basket give away is a blessing to many as is our annual Food Bank client banquet before school begins.
We are always taking donations of funds and food to help with the food bank. Some staples that we always need are: Ketchup, Mayonnaise, Mustard, tuna, pork & beans, canned fruit & vegetables, canned soups, cereal, macaroni & cheese, boxed potatoes, saltines, pancake mix & syrup, peanut butter, jelly, spaghetti & sauce, sloppy joe mix, Jell-o, pudding mix, muffin or biscuit mix, toilet paper, bath soap, dish soap & shampoo.
